Growing Up Elephant

This picture was shot at an elephant orphanage in Nairobi, Kenya.  This is where they filmed the documentary for Animal Planet called “Growing Up Elephant.”  After I took this picture, they lowered the rope and allowed the boys to wrestle and pet the baby elephants.  It was a lot of fun.

I thought this was a cool shot at the Little Rock Zoo.

This is a shot I took when we went on safari during out time at language school in Iringa, Tanzania.  It is located at a Game Park called Ruaha.

Bubble Boys

View from the Pare Mountains

Here are some shots I took a few years ago in the Pare Mountains in Northern Tanzania.  I know you are thinking that it would be terrible for us to have to live there with that view.  The bottom picture is a shot of Mount Kilimanjaro from the Pares.

Here’s another old shot from Tanzania.  These were three elders of a Maasai tribe that we visited.

Green Belts

Luke and Brennan got their green belts in Tae Kwon Do.  They are doing an excellent job and will definitely miss this when we move back to Tanzania.  Below is a picture of the boys with their instructor, Mr. Jordan, and the owner of the studio, Ms. Ray.
